Who we are

Tekansa Pvt Ltd is a technology company with its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, an innovation center in Dakar, Senegal, and an engineering and development center in Noida, India. Full addresses are at the foot of every page.

For the data described here, Tekansa is the controller: we decide why it is held and what happens to it. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, write to hello@tekansa.com.

What we collect

We ask for as little as will let us answer you properly. There is no account to create on this site, and nothing here requires you to identify yourself in order to read it.

What you send us

Your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company and indicative budget, together with whatever you write in the message. This comes from the enquiry form, the concierge chat, or an email you send us directly.

Where the enquiry came from

Which page or form the enquiry started on, so it reaches the right team rather than a general inbox.

Recruitment

If you apply to a role, whatever you choose to put in your application: your CV, work history and the contact details on it.

Technical records

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and the time of the request. These exist to keep the site available and to investigate abuse, and are not used to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

We run no analytics, advertising or tracking on this site, so there is no behavioural profile, no ad-network data, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers. See the Cookie Policy for the detail.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

Under the UK and EU GDPR every use of personal data needs a lawful basis. Ours are these.

To answer your enquiry

Legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract. You contacted us about work, so replying to you is the obvious and expected use.

To run a recruitment process

Steps taken at your request before a contract of employment, and our legitimate interest in assessing candidates fairly.

To keep the site secure and working

Legitimate interests in operating a service that stays available and is not abused.

To meet legal and accounting obligations

Compliance with a legal obligation, where tax, corporate or contract records require it.

To send you something you asked for

Consent, which you can withdraw at any time without giving a reason. We do not add enquirers to a marketing list because they contacted us.

Who else sees it

Personal data is available to the Tekansa people who need it to do the work, and to the service providers who run the infrastructure underneath: hosting and content delivery, business email, and the system we use to track enquiries. Each acts on our instructions under a written agreement, and none is permitted to use your data for its own purposes.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for advertising. We will disclose it where the law genuinely requires it, and would tell you unless legally barred from doing so.

Where it goes

We operate across the United States, Senegal and India, so data about you may be handled in any of them. Where personal data protected by UK or EU law moves outside that protection, the transfer is made under the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose, together with the additional safeguards those clauses require.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, so we can pick up a conversation that resumes a year later. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for 12 months, and we ask before holding one longer. Records that belong to a signed engagement are kept for as long as the contract and the relevant tax and limitation periods require. Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then discarded.

When a period ends, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, some or all of the following apply. They are free to exercise, and asking does not affect how we deal with you.

Access

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction

Have anything inaccurate or incomplete put right.

Deletion

Ask us to erase it, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.

Objection and restriction

Object to a use that rests on legitimate interests, or ask us to pause a use while a dispute about it is resolved.

Portability

Receive what you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form.

Withdrawing consent

Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we relied on. It does not undo what was done beforehand.

Complaint

Complain to your data protection authority. We would rather you came to us first, but that is your right and not a precondition.

How we protect it

Access is limited to the people who need it. Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest in the systems that hold it. We keep the same engineering practices on our own estate that we ask our clients to adopt on theirs, and we review them rather than assuming they still hold.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data and carries a real risk to you, we will tell you and the relevant authority within the time the law allows.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in substance we will update the date at the top and, where the change materially affects you, say so more directly than a silent edit.

Contact

Requests and questions go to hello@tekansa.com. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if a request is genuinely complex enough to need longer.
