A technology and growth partner for healthcare.
We design, build and grow software, AI, ecommerce and marketing for the businesses of modern medicine, from single-site clinics to national hospital networks, from med-device brands to healthcare marketplaces.
Technology expertise built for healthcare complexity.
Engineers, designers and technology specialists building the systems healthcare businesses depend on, deep, patient work in the places where the stakes are high.

Hospitals, clinics, diagnostics, medical ecommerce, medical devices and health-tech marketing, under one roof.
- 6
- Practices under one roof
Software, healthcare AI, ecommerce, growth, data and strategy, one team, one outcome, no agency chain.
- 100%
- Healthcare-only team
Every engineer, designer and strategist on Tekansa Healthcare works in medicine, never a shared bench with other verticals.
Every kind of medical business, under one roof.
We're a healthcare-only firm. Every engineer, designer and strategist on our team works in this sector every day. That's how the same practice can deliver a modern EMR for a hospital network, a booking platform for a specialist clinic, an online pharmacy launch and a HIPAA-safe growth programme, without swapping teams.
From a single-site clinic to a national network.
We shape the team, the engagement model and the pricing to the shape of your organisation, not the other way round.

Six practices.
One healthcare-only team.
Software, AI, ecommerce, growth, data and strategy, every practice sits inside one healthcare-only team. So one group owns the outcome, from the first roadmap conversation to the launch and every release after.
A different kind of
technology partner.
Most healthcare software gets made by generalist agencies, on bench engineers, without regulation fluency. That model isn't serving anyone well. Here's how the two approaches compare, side by side.

We work in the open, with your team on the same tools, the same rhythm and the same outcomes. No hand-offs to a bench, no black-box status decks. Just weekly releases, honest reviews and a system your team can own.

A wall from the people
we build with.
Working in healthcare means most clients ask to stay unnamed publicly, regulatory posture, competitive sensitivity, institutional preference. Every quote below is real and anonymised at the client's request.
They treated our clinical workflows as engineering problems, not as change-management ones. That is why the cutover was a non-event.
We had piloted three AI tools. Theirs was the first that lived long enough to become part of the workflow, because it was engineered to.
The audit evidence was already there when the inspectors arrived. That has never been true for us before an EMR programme.
They rebuilt our prescription workflow in six weeks. The team we'd worked with before had been three months in with no working prototype.
Named senior engineers from day one. When I asked about the team on kickoff, they told me the same names on the pitch would be committing code. They did.

Weekly releases from week three. Every Monday we had something new for the clinicians to look at. That built trust faster than anything else.
The interoperability spine they built handled everything my team threw at it in year two. That's how I know it was engineered, not configured.
When the CQC visit came, we didn't scramble. Every control had a documented owner, a test date and a passing result, because they'd designed it that way.
Our patient acquisition cost fell 42% in the first two quarters, and every landing page was HIPAA-safe. Their growth team understood healthcare, not just SEO.

What clients ask us most often.
If your question isn't here, the fastest way to a real answer is a 30-minute call with one of our clinical solution engineers.
01How do you handle HIPAA, GDPR and HITRUST compliance?
As engineering artefacts, not as documentation ticked before an audit. Controls, identity, encryption, audit logs and consent are designed into the platform from day one. Evidence is generated during delivery so audits become a report against existing evidence, not a project that pauses everything else. We align to HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and jurisdiction-specific regimes depending on where you operate.
02Do you work with our existing EMR, Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, athenahealth?
Yes. Most of our engagements modernise around an incumbent EMR rather than replace it. We integrate through FHIR APIs, HL7 v2 bridges, SMART on FHIR and, where needed, custom adapters. If the incumbent is holding you back specifically, we can also plan a replatform, but that decision is a per-workload one, not a religion.
03What's the typical engagement size and budget range?
Engagements range from focused 6–10 week discovery sprints through multi-year platform builds. The right size depends on what you're solving, a single-site clinic launching a booking product looks very different from a national network consolidating four legacy EMRs. We're happy to scope in a 30-minute call and give you a clear range before anything is committed.
04How long before we see the first live workflow?
6–10 weeks on almost every engagement. That's when the first slice of what we're building lands in a real environment with real users, not a demo, not a PowerPoint prototype. Every engagement from there runs on weekly releases. If the shape of your problem genuinely doesn't permit that cadence, we say so upfront.
05Can we start with a small pilot before scaling?
Yes, most of our engagements do exactly that. A scoped pilot lets us build trust, prove the delivery model on your estate, and put a real slice in front of your clinicians before a bigger commitment. We deliberately design pilots so they compound into the wider programme rather than becoming throwaway work.
06Do you build custom software or configure existing platforms?
Whichever fits the problem. For commodity workflows we lean into modern platforms, commerce, CMS, PSA, EMR modules, because reinventing them wastes your money. Where the workflow is a differentiator or where the platform ecosystem doesn't fit your reality, we build custom. Most estates end up as a considered mix, and we're transparent about the trade-offs on each piece.
07How do you handle handover and long-term ownership?
Knowledge transfer is designed into the engagement from week one, not appended after go-live. Your engineers pair with ours, decisions are recorded in the code, and documentation is a working artefact. By the time the engagement scopes down, your team owns the system technically, culturally and operationally. If they can't, we haven't finished.
08Where are your teams based and how do you handle time-zones?
We deliver from the Tekansa group's engineering hubs, with clinical solution engineers available in EMEA, APAC and Americas time-zones. For each engagement we pick a primary hub based on your working hours and regulatory geography, and pair with a follow-the-sun team for on-call operations when the estate requires it.
Tell us what you're building.
Whether you're a single-site clinic, a health system or a healthcare brand, a few lines about your situation is enough. We'll reply within one working day with a name, a time and a short call to see if we're the right fit.
