Product suite

One platform.
Six modules.
One clinical spine.

The Tekansa Healthcare product suite is designed to deploy in the shape your organisation actually needs. Take one module, or six. The rest slot in without a re-architecture, because they were engineered together.

Architecture

One connected platform, six layers, one spine.

Every surface shares the same interoperability spine and trust layer. That is how modules stay swappable, and how AI stays trustworthy.

Module 01 · Core clinical

EMR & clinical systems

One clinical spine, engineered around how your clinicians actually work.

A modern EMR/EHR designed around clinician workflow, orders, results, documentation, scheduling and clinical decision support, with clinician time returned to the bedside as a first-class engineering outcome.

Configurable by specialty and service line, integrated with the interoperability spine from day one, and shipped with the audit and evidence trail your compliance team needs.

Included capabilities
  • Orders & results with clinician-tuned workflows
  • Clinical documentation with structured + free-text
  • Medication management with allergy & interaction checking
  • Specialty-specific templates and pathways
  • Handoff & shift-change workflows
  • Clinical decision support integrations
Module 02 · Front door

Patient experience platform

A digital front door engineered as a real product, not an intranet with a login screen.

Portals, apps, scheduling, digital intake, telehealth and remote monitoring, engineered as one coherent product that respects patient time and clinician bandwidth.

Deploy the surfaces you need first; the rest slot in as your programme matures, without a re-architecture or a re-integration.

Included capabilities
  • Patient portal (web + native mobile)
  • Digital intake and consent workflows
  • Scheduling with real-time availability across facilities
  • Telehealth and asynchronous care journeys
  • Remote monitoring (connected devices + ePRO)
  • Bill-pay, insurance and family/caregiver access
Module 03 · Ops backbone

Hospital operations suite

The operational backbone, engineered to run alongside the clinical spine, not against it.

Finance, supply, workforce and revenue-cycle, integrated with the clinical spine and the reality of hospital operations, so decisions on the ward and decisions in the CFO office share the same numbers.

Modernise the incumbent ERP surfaces where they earn their keep; replace them only where the drift from operational reality warrants it.

Included capabilities
  • Revenue-cycle: charge capture, coding, claims
  • Supply chain and inventory across facilities
  • Workforce scheduling and shift management
  • Financial ops and inter-facility settlements
  • Executive dashboards on modelled data
  • Integration with SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics
Module 04 · Diagnostics

Diagnostics & imaging

LIS, RIS, PACS and pathology, engineered for the lab and the reading-room, not the demo.

Laboratory, radiology and pathology platforms with ordering, reporting and quality controls unified into the clinical spine, so every result flows into the right chart without a manual bridge.

AI-assist for radiology and pathology where the evidence supports it, evaluated against labelled ground truth, never against a marketing slide.

Included capabilities
  • LIS with instrument integrations
  • RIS + PACS for radiology workflows
  • Digital pathology (WSI ingest, reporting)
  • Quality control and turnaround-time analytics
  • Imaging AI assist with evaluation harness
  • Cross-facility results and referral routing
Module 05 · Substrate

Interoperability spine

FHIR-native APIs, HL7 v2 bridges, DICOM and terminology, the substrate everything else runs on.

The invisible product that makes every other module work. FHIR APIs as the modern surface, HL7 v2 bridges for legacy where reality demands, DICOM handling for imaging, and terminology services (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, RxNorm) as first-class citizens.

Consent, patient matching and identity are modelled properly, because interoperability without them is theatre.

Included capabilities
  • FHIR R4/R5-native API surface
  • HL7 v2 bridges (ORU, ADT, ORM, SIU)
  • DICOM ingest, storage and streaming
  • Terminology services + value-set management
  • Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)
  • Consent, provenance and audit modelled explicitly
Module 06 · Trust layer

Compliance & audit

Regulator-ready by design, evidence generated during delivery, not reconstructed for audit.

HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR and sector-specific regimes engineered into the platform, with controls, encryption, audit trails and consent generated as engineering artefacts alongside delivery.

For medical-device software, IEC 62304 and FDA CSA alignment is designed in, not as a checklist run before an inspection.

Included capabilities
  • HIPAA + HITRUST CSF-aligned controls
  • GDPR consent + data-subject rights
  • SOC 2 Type II evidence trail
  • IEC 62304 + FDA CSA for SaMD
  • Immutable audit logs across the platform
  • Access, break-glass and privileged-user governance
Deployment

Deploy where your data has to live.

Cloud, private cloud or on-premise, same platform, same modules, same evidence trail. We engineer the deployment against your regulatory reality, not against a preferred hosting model.

01

Cloud-hosted (SaaS)

Managed by Tekansa on AWS, Azure or GCP. Fastest to value; ideal for greenfield or organisations without a heavy on-prem estate.

02

Private cloud

Dedicated tenancy in the region of your choice, with data-residency controls, private connectivity and your own encryption keys.

03

On-premise

For organisations with strict regulatory or connectivity constraints. Fully containerised, air-gap capable, with the same platform features.

Integrations

Talks to everything your estate already runs.

We don't replace your estate to make our product work. The interoperability spine connects to the systems you already run, and the surfaces you keep get better because we stopped forcing them to be everything at once.

Frequently asked

What our clinical and IT leaders ask about the product.

01Do we have to take all six modules, or can we start with one?

Start with one. The suite is designed to deploy in the shape your organisation actually needs. Take EMR, or start with the patient experience platform, or begin with the interoperability spine, the rest slot in when the time is right, without a re-architecture.

02How does this fit alongside our incumbent EMR (Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH)?

It integrates. The interoperability spine speaks FHIR, HL7 v2, DICOM and X12, so we can modernise around your incumbent, patient experience, AI, diagnostics, operations, without ripping the clinical core out. Where the incumbent has drifted too far from reality, we can also replace it, in rolling reversible waves.

03How is data isolated across facilities and tenants?

Isolation is a load-bearing engineering decision. We support pool, silo and hybrid tenancy per data class, with encryption keys held per tenant on request. Facility-level segregation is built into every module, because the alternative is a permissions bug waiting to happen.

04How do you handle upgrades on a live clinical spine?

Progressive delivery with feature flags, staged rollouts, and rollback as a first-class engineering concern. Upgrades are engineered to be boring, because in clinical software, boring is a compliment.

05Can we host it on our own cloud tenancy?

Yes. Cloud-hosted, private cloud (dedicated tenancy in your region), and on-premise (containerised, air-gap capable) are all first-class deployment models. The choice is driven by your regulatory and residency reality, not by a preferred hosting model.
